The Phasic LT polyester fabric means this shirt has excellent moisture and temperature control. I am yet to feel weighed down by sweat or water when hiking with this shirt. The orange color (one of many colors) means I am clearly visible among the brush and will stand out in the event of an emergency or mistaken identity.

Natrapel tick and insect repellent
Read Review
Most insect repellents contain DEET or diethyltoluamide. When used as directed, DEET is harmless. However, in higher concentrations there have been rare adverse effects. The Natrapel Tick and Insect Repellent does not contain DEET. Instead the active chemical is Picaridin. Picaridin based repellents can be applied directly to the skin and harmful side effects are extremely rare. According to the CDC, between 2000 and 2015 only one person sought medial attention for Picaridin. Natrapel also repels ticks and other insects. Application lasts for 12 hours and will keep the bugs at bay for your entire hike!
